Second Thursday Series is an on-going event open to the public, hosted by the Guilford Poetry Guild. We usually have a guest poet (from a wide area of the USA northeast). Before the guest reads, we have an open mic for any poet who will read one poem. The Guilford Poets Guild has have been doing this for about 25 years. The "Series" is held in the months of March, April, May and June (June is usually a read by the
annual high school poetry contest which we sponsor), then no "Series" in July or August. We resume the Second Thursday Series from September through December.

March 14 - Special reading by Mark McGuire-Schwartz, who is taking the Poet Laureate torch from Gordy Whiteman.
