Event:Poetry as Spiritual Communion
Date:May 14th, 2023.
Time:2:30 PM to 4:00 PM
Location:Jesse Lee Church, Carriage House, 207 Main St., Ridgefield, CT
Contact:Barb Jennes, barbjennes@gmail.com
EVENT TEXT:
Theology and poetry meet in the use of imaginative language and metaphor to express transcendent, almost unknowable truth. Join Ridgefield Poet Laureate Barb Jennes as we read and discuss contemporary, accessible poems that link to key Biblical themes: love, forgiveness, compassion, and more, then respond in poetry or prose of our own. No knowledge of poetry or Biblical verse is required. Just come relax, reflect, respond, refresh.

Carriage House has ample parking, and is fully accessible.
