James Berger is a Senior Lecturer in American Studies and English at Yale University. He is the author of two academic books, three books of poems (most recently, The Obvious Poems and the Worthless Poems), and is midwife and conduit of The OBU Manifestos, vols. 1&2. He is currently writing two books of something resembling scholarship and something resembling poetry: "The Book of Impasses" and "On Naive and Sentimental Poetics.

Pegi Deitz Shea is a two-time winner of the CT Book Award and the author of 17 books, including her first book of poetry for adults, The Weight of Kindling (Grayson). She has taught in the creative writing programs at UCONN, the Mark Twain House, and the Writers Institute. She founded and directs the quarterly series in Vernon, Poetry Rocks.
