Her AWARDS include The Lamont Selection, Melville Kane Award, Connecticut Book Award (twice). She was a Finalist for the National Book Award, 1993, and for the Poets’ Prize, 2016. As Poet Laureate, and with a grant from the Academy of American Poets, she edited an anthology, Waking Up to the Earth: Connecticut Poets in a Time of Global Climate Crisis.

Some words about DRAW ME WITHOUT BOUNDARIES:

“Draw me without boundaries,” Lena says to her granddaughter Zoe, an artist. This book is their love story, told in their voices: inner monologues whose prose and poetry are set against the shifting background of global climate crisis and the COVID pandemic. DRAW ME WITHOUT BOUNDARIES is a compelling investigation of the deep connections possible between people despite their physical isolation. Both a suspenseful read and a fluid meditation, Gibson lays bare the integrity and depth of inquiry it takes to make life and death choices in a broken world
This brilliant book—innovative, suspenseful, deeply moving—reflects back to us in conjoined poetry and prose the profound issues of our time.

In today's reading of Draw Me Without Boundaries, after PART ONE, there will be a brief intermission, followed by PART TWO. The readings will be followed by a book signing.
