Dialogue Workshop, Vernon
Pegi Deitz Shea, an award-winning author and teacher of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, will lead a writing workshop called C.O.O.L. Dialogue, on Sept. 21, 1:00-2:30pm at Arts Center East. The workshop will teach writers of all levels (ages 14-up) how to create unique dialogue and monologue that kicks A.I.'s butt! The cost for this 90-minute course is $25 for non-members of Arts Center East, $20 for members, and $15 for students. Class is limited to 15 students so register right away.

Pegi Deitz Shea, Vernon's Inaugural Poet Laureate, serves as President of the CT Council of Poets Laureate. A two-time winner of the CT Book Award, she has taught creative writing at UCONN, the Mark Twain House, Writers' Institute, and at schools and libraries across the country. She is the author of 16 books and numerous short stories for young readers; and one book and more than 100 individual poems in journals and anthologies. She founded and directs Poetry Rocks, a reading series in its 8th year. For more information, please go to www.pegideitzshea.com
